NFL Week 4: Against The Spread

Record: 3-5-1

Teaser: 0-1

Week 4

It’s been a rough couple weeks after starting week 1 hot, but I’m looking to bounce back today despite a rough slate of games.

Raiders +3.5 @ Ravens

  • After deciding to stay away last week, I refuse to miss out on a Raiders win this week. I know choosing west coast teams playing the early game on the east coast is a death wish, but I think this is a huge statement game for the Raiders. They’re 2-1 and a win over the 3-0 Ravens would be huge for them moving forward. Ravens are 3-0, but their opponents have a combined record of 1-8 and they have only beaten them by a combined 13 points. I think the Raiders cover this spread and maybe even win outright.

Bucs +9 vs. Broncos, Bears +9.5 vs Lions, Giants +10.5 @ Vikings

  • Going against two 3-0 teams may be a death wish in itself, but I’m riding with the underdogs here. Money has been all over the Broncos, so naturally I’m fading the public and riding with the dog. I think the Bucs are in dire need of a big win, and Winston is due for a huge day despite a really tough defense. I think both 3-0 teams can go down today, and 9 points is good enough for me to take the Bucs.
  • Again, I’m fading the public and going with the Bears. 9 points is a lot in a division game, and I think this can be competitive. I like the Bears with 9.5.
  • Prime time underdogs have been $$$ this season, and I think the Giants are due to breakout on offense. I think they can win this game, but if not, it should at least be competitive. 10 points for a prime time underdog is enough for me.
