Construction Cost: $281 million
Heinz Field, home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, opened in 2001 and is surrounded by the beautiful city of downtown Pittsburgh. I went in 2015 for a rivalry matchup between the Steelers and Bengals, and it was an incredible game and experience all together.
The stadium, despite being 15 years old, was great. It was easy to navigate and the surroundings were honestly amazing. The stadium stands along the Ohio River on the Northside of Pittsburgh in the North Shore neighborhood. Fans walk across one of the major bridges that connects the attraction to the city of Pitt, and that alone is a cool experience in itself. I plan on going back in 2016 to see the Cowboys play them, which should be a great experience considering the history of the franchises.
